Description: This data contains the boundaries of the Sphere of Influence in the SCAG Region for the year 2024, updated as of March, 2025. The Sphere of Influence represents the geographic extent to which a city can expand by annexation. The original sphere of influence boundary data was obtained from county local agency formation commissions (LAFCOs)to reflect the most current updates and then was reviewed and cleaned up by SCAG staff. This data will be further reviewed and updated as SCAG continues to receive feedbacks from LAFCOs, subregions and local jurisdictions.
